How to use the cURL Generator

1. Fill in the method, URL, headers, body and authentication, or click Sample.
2. Pick your shell; quoting differs between bash, PowerShell and Windows CMD.
3. Copy the command. To change an existing one, use Import cURL to load it into the form.

Quoting in each shell

• Bash and zsh: single quotes, with '\'' for a quote inside, and \ to continue a line.
• PowerShell: single quotes with '' inside, ` to continue, and curl.exe, because curl is an alias for Invoke-WebRequest in Windows PowerShell.
• Windows CMD: double quotes with "" inside, and ^ to continue a line.

Frequently asked questions

Does this send the request?

No. It only writes the command; nothing is sent, and tokens you type stay in your browser.

What does --data-raw do?

It sends the body exactly as written. Plain -d treats a leading @ as a file name and strips line breaks, which can corrupt JSON.
